My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky:

So was it when my life began;

So is it now I am a man;

나의 마음은 뛰노라!!

하늘의 무지개를 바라보면
나의 마음은 뛰노라.
내 철없던 어린 시절에도 그러했고
어른이 된 지금도 그러하며
늙어서도 그러하리.
그렇지 않으면 차라리 죽으리라!
아이는 어른의 아버지
나의 생애가 자연에 대한 경건한 마음으로
하루하루 이어지길 바라노라
